Thunderstorms

Florida storms can develop quickly, especially during the warmer months. Check radar before outdoor plans.

Heat & humidity

Use the feels-like temperature, humidity and UV information to plan shade, water and indoor breaks.

Beach & boating days

Radar is only one part of coastal safety. Also check official marine forecasts, lightning and rip-current information.

How to use Florida weather when planning a trip

Florida weather is often local and fast-moving. A statewide forecast is useful for context, but the conditions that affect a beach afternoon, theme-park day or highway drive can vary sharply across the same region. Check the location-specific forecast and radar close to the time you plan to be outside rather than relying only on a forecast viewed days earlier.

During warmer months, heat, humidity and thunderstorms can influence how a day feels even when the headline forecast looks favorable. Build indoor breaks into long outdoor days, carry water and be prepared to move inside when lightning approaches. For coastal plans, general rain radar does not replace official marine, surf, rip-current or beach-safety information.

Weather information is planning context, not an emergency service

Florida Trip Radar brings forecast and alert information into one travel-planning view, but emergency instructions should always come from the National Weather Service, the National Hurricane Center, local emergency management or other responsible authorities. If an official warning affects your location, follow that source rather than waiting for this page to refresh.

Recheck before travel days

For airport transfers, long drives, cruises and ticketed attractions, check conditions again before departure. Tropical systems, severe storms, flooding and local incidents can change transportation plans even when your destination itself appears clear.
