Recheck your airline, airport, road route and attraction shortly before departure. Conditions, closures and park operations can change after a page loads.
What to check before you leave
Travel disruptions rarely come from one source. A clear weather forecast does not rule out road closures, airport delays, attraction changes or tropical-weather impacts elsewhere along the route. For an important travel day, check the parts of the trip separately: origin airport, destination airport, driving route, weather and the operating status of any attraction or transportation provider you must reach on time.
For road travel, FL511 is the primary Florida traveler-information source for incidents, construction, cameras and closures. For tropical weather, use the National Hurricane Center. For aviation system conditions, the FAA provides national status information, while your airline remains the best source for the actual flight.
Why alerts should be checked more than once
Conditions can change after an itinerary is created. Recheck time-sensitive information on the morning of travel and again before leaving for an airport, station, cruise terminal or long drive. If severe weather or an official warning is active, follow instructions from public authorities and transportation providers.
